A Pipeline of Novel Cancer Therapies

AVEO Pharmaceuticals integrates a proprietary cancer biology platform with drug development and commercial expertise in its efforts to discover and develop targeted cancer therapeutics. The company's lead product candidate, tivozanib, is an oral, triple vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) receptor inhibitor currently in Phase 3 clinical development. Using its proprietary Human Response Platform™ (HRP), AVEO has identified two monoclonal antibodies: AV-299, which binds to hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) and is being studied in collaboration with Merck in a non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) Phase 2 clinical trial, and AV-203, a preclinical antibody candidate being developed in partnership with Biogen Idec that targets the ErbB3 (HER3) receptor and may have utility in a variety of cancer types.
