Areas of Interest
AVEO PRODUCT LICENSING OPPORTUNITIES
AVEO seeks collaborations with partners who share AVEO’s vision and are actively seeking to co-develop, in-license or acquire investigational cancer compounds for which the application of AVEO’s technology and expertise in cancer biology and genetics can provide unique insight and a competitive edge in development. AVEO is interested in discussing the following opportunities with companies matching this description:
Antibodies (discovery / preclinical stage)
AVEO is actively pursuing a pipeline of 10 antibody programs designed to produce inhibitory antibodies against four important cancer target classes / pathways that have been identified using AVEO’s proprietary genetic screens. In addition to leveraging AVEO’s technology for target identification and validation, AVEO has also developed a unique array of discovery capabilities and tools to facilitate generation and selection of optimized antibody therapeutics.
This novel approach to antibody development has lead to strategic partnerships focused on AVEO’s HGF- and ErbB3-targeted antibody programs with other major biopharma companies. AVEO has nine other active antibody programs that are currently un-partnered. AVEO is moving forward with each program. Consistent with AVEO’s HGF and ErbB3 co-development and co-commercialization partnerships, AVEO’s strategy is to maintain significant downstream rights to its other antibody programs.
AVEO is open to discuss antibody collaboration opportunities if there is a significant interest in a particular target or class, shared vision for the program, and a strong strategic fit. Interested parties should direct inquiries to:

AVEO TECHNOLOGY PLATFORM COLLABORATION OPPORTUNITIES
AVEO’s proprietary in vivo cancer model technology can be applied in many different contexts to improve drug discovery and development:
- Target Identification and Validation: Identifying and validating which of the many candidate cancer causing genes are most important to tumor growth.
- Drug Discovery: Enabling the development of tumor models driven by the target gene of interest to facilitate the evaluation of drug candidates directed against the target, and the selection of the most promising candidate.
- Biomarker Identification: Enabling the identification of genetic markers, or biomarkers, which may help identify patients who are more likely to be responsive or resistant to such drugs by leveraging the naturally occurring genetic variation in our cancer models and their divergent sensitivity to anti-cancer drugs.
AVEO is open to discuss potential technology platform collaborations with interested parties. Inquiries should be directed to:

EXTERNAL IN-LICENSING OPPORTUNITIES
Product In-licensing
As evidenced by AVEO’s partnership with Kyowa Kirin Pharma, in-licensing is an important mechanism by which AVEO is building a diversified product pipeline. AVEO continues to search for and evaluate highly specific / targeted therapeutic opportunities which may complement its existing pipeline. In addition to compounds with optimal intrinsic properties, AVEO is particularly interested in candidate therapies for which the application of AVEO’s technology platform could offer the potential to derive unique insights into patient selection that may help inform clinical development and help differentiate it from competitors.
Novel Technology In-licensing
AVEO remains committed to accessing the best technologies and tools to support its research and development efforts. To supplement its own technology platform and capabilities, AVEO has entered into various license agreements in order to access advanced tools for drug discovery, including its license of antibody phage display libraries from Dyax Corp. in 2008 and SuperHumanisationTM technology from Arana Therapeutics in 2007.
AVEO remains committed to remaining alert to new opportunities. If you have a product or technology that you are seeking to out-license, please consider AVEO’s unique translational research and development capabilities by submitting information to:
